Palazzo Altemps

This Renaissance palace was restored and opened as a museum in 1997. Rarely crowded, it contains an entrancing collection of classical sculptures such as the so-called Ludovisi Ares, a Roman copy of a 4th-century BCE Greek original, and the Ludovisi Gaul, part of the same group as the better-known Dying Gaul in the Capitoline Museums.
